Asthma is a sever long-term lung disease that causes inflammation and narrows the airways. Asthma can occur at anytime in life but it will most likely be noticed as a young child. Asthma can alter someone's life in a great way. You have to be careful when your around certain things in the air, as well as when you play sports. It can affect the way you breathe, and that can affect the way you feel when you run. Asthma affects the life of 25 million Americans, 7 million of them being children. People with Asthma always are careful of their surroundings and lifestyle in order to prevent an Asthma attack.

Asthma symptoms include a number of things but the most common being shortness of breath, difficulty breathing while exercising, wheezing, and constant coughing. Not every person has the same signs and symptoms, you could have all of the symptoms or just one that you might not even think to take asthma into consideration. If you have a mild asthma attack then your symptoms will differ from when you have a severe one. Mild asthma attack are generally more common than having a severe one, but if you do have a severe asthma attack it will last longer than a mild one. When an asthma attack is about to come on you will most likely have, frequent coughing, especially at night, feelings of being tired and upset, signs of cold or allergies, and wheezing. Although some people have early warning signs to when an asthma attack is about to take place, some people just are not that lucky.

Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease of the airways. That being said causes can differ in every person. When airways come into contact with an asthma trigger, the airways become inflamed, narrow, and also will fill with mucus. No one really knows why some people have asthma and others don't, but allergies are said to play a big role in it.
