The Arguments for God’s Existence

Intelligent Design means the theory that life, or the universe, cannot have arisen by chance and was designed and created by some intelligent entity.

Natural Selection means the process whereby organisms better adapted to their environment tend to survive and produce more offspring. The theory of its action was first fully expounded by Charles Darwin, and it is now regarded as be the main process that brings about evolution.

Necessary Being means

Numinous means having a strong religious or spiritual quality; indicating or suggesting the presence of a divinity.

Ontological Argument

The ontological argument was first created when St Anselm tried to show proof of God’s existence. His aim was to show everyone that God does exist. The ontological argument is an argument for God’s existence based entirely on reason. According to this argument, there is no need to go out looking for evidence of God’s existence and we can work out that he exists just by thinking about it.
Cosmological Argument
The cosmological argument is the argument that the existence of the world or universe is evidence that it was God who created it. The existence of the universe, the argument claims, stands in need of explanation, and the only correct explanation of its existence is that God created it.
Teleological Argument
Teleological arguments are arguments from the existence of God. William Paley likened the universe to a watch, with many ordered parts working in harmony to further some purpose. The suggestion is that it is easier to suppose that a God creates the universe and it was not just created by chance.
Revelation through Scripture And Experience
Just general people make a revelation through scripture and experience. Some people claim that they have had a religious experience, such as a miracle. People also claim to see visions and signs in their food.
