Missing man found – Inside the belly of a monster
Peter Malatsi was reported missing on Wednesday July the 5th. Up until now, there have been no clues or leads regarding Peter’s disappearance. At least not until Mma Ramotswe’s newly founded detective agency got their hands dirty and unravelled thee so called mystery.
The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency, That’s the name of the newly started company which Mma Ramotswe founded herself near Kgale Hill, Botswana. It was their first day of business, she and her secretary, Mma Makutsi, was eagerly waiting for their first task that required their expertise in crime.
It didn’t take long for the agency to receive their first job. Mma Malatsi, a woman in her early 40’s, came in and reported her husband, Peter Malatsi, missing. And she craved the help that Mma Ramotswe was offering.
The chase was on and time was of the essence. Mma Ramotswe knew that every second counts when it comes to recovering a missing person. After prosecuting Mma Malatsi for more information about her husband and his daily whereabouts, she was told that the last time Mma Malatsi saw her husband; he was on his way to the local church. Having found his new passion for religion, or rather Christianity in particular, Peter Malatsi went to church that day to get him self baptised.
Mma Ramotswe visited the church to ask the reverend a few question, since he was the one performing the baptising. After some time of questioning, the reverend finally caved in and explained that; yes, he was going to baptise Peter Malatsi, but he’d “lost” him down by the river. When interviewed, Mma Ramostswe said that; “If Peter where to have been dragged away by the current, his body would have ended up further down by the shore. But since this wasn’t the case, I immediately suspected that something more gruesome had happened.”
