To accomplish great things , we must dream as well as act. –Anatole France
Here I am 7 years later and I am writing a paper for one of my college classes. Little did I know it would take me so long to finish what I started back then. I am going to share with you why returning to school is important to me, the benefits of getting a college degree and what motivates me to make this choice and continue to stick with it. Like everyone who decides to return to school I would like a better job, better pay and of course a college degree.
I have always wanted to return to school but never got around to it until recently. There were many reasons I decided to go back to school. One main reason is the fact that getting my degree is one of the major personal goals I set for myself and not accomplishing this goal would mean failure to me. The second reason I felt returning to school to be so essential was so myself and my family may become more financially stable. The third reason I decided to return to school is so that my younger brothers will learn from my example and see that school is essential to a successful life and very nurturing to ones’ soul.
My decision to return to school and pursue my degree in Early childhood education was probably one of the hardest things I have ever done. It is very challenging because I work a full time job and I knew before returning to school that it would be hard to accomplish everything but somehow I will find the time to make sure I succeed. One way, is discussing my returning to school with my employer. Even though it’s online school it still requires the same amount of time and work if I were to attend a college campus. Second, adjusting my personal life and also reviving my study skills and managing my time.. Once I find a time that works for me it will become natural for me.
I have always wanted to work with children for as long...
