Americans today tend to believe that the American dream can still be achieved. The American dream to me is the right to study your own religion, women’s rights and the ability to get your education.   I for one believe that these statements will explain a lot about the freedom citizens have in America.
For example the right to get your education in America is free to all who need it especially for those coming to America from a foreign country that didn’t exactly have the support that they needed. For example schools, books, or people with the knowledge and the will to teach. If everyone went their whole lives without being educated they would not be able to make a living because Americans would then not know how to do anything right so they wouldn’t be able to do things like, getting a job because they can’t be paid to work if they don’t know how to do it right. In other words without the knowledge that we have, we wouldn’t be where we’re at now.

Today in America women have many rights now then compared to what they had back then. Women now have the right to work, get their education, and vote. The right for women to vote was a 40-year legislative war that was started when a California republican named A.A. Sergeant introduced the 19th amendment only to see it voted down by a democrat controlled congress. This was finally ended when the republicans won landslide victories in the house and the senate, giving them power to pass the amendment. Women also use to have to stay at home to work on raising their children. Another thing women had a problem with was going through the trouble of having the right to get the same education as men. So in order to fix that problem they went through congress to pass another amendment to allow them to get the same education.

America is big on religion and so is the first amendment, it also plays a big part in freedom to practice your own religion. There are many people that come to the United States to freely practice and...
