The Bakuhan System

The epoch known as early modern society is one stage in a general divides Japanese history into ancient, nd modern eras. It covers the three Oda Nobunaga, aspiring to unify the country, entered Kyoto, home of the emperor and the Ashikaga shogun, to 1867 when the Tokugawa bakufu fell.
