Organizational systems and Quality leadership
RTT-1 Task #1
I was given a scenario to read and analyze. This paper discusses how nursing-sensitive indicators can aid in patient care. Next you will find how the hospital used this data to improve quality of care, and then you will see resources that could be used to resolve the ethical issue that occurred in this scenario.

Also, from analyzing the scenario the nurse is not providing safe restraint care, if she were this patient restraints would be checked and removed in a timely manner to access range of motion and to access the patient’s skin.
Patient satisfaction is an important nurse sensitive indicator. Since Mr. J has dementia he may be unable to express his needs and concerns. It is the nurse’s duty to provide the best care to all patients regardless of mental state. Mr. J’s needs were not met in this scenario. When Mr. J was served a regular diet, the nurse should have been quick to inform the family and patient right away and apologize for the mistake. Instead the nurse did not inform the patient...
